Morning a-day-before-raya all!!
Today is the last day of Ramadhan. Sad? Happy? yup, all mixed up, no one knows what would be happening tomorrow or next month right? We might die or something, yes, we do not know. But, what we know is enjoy life as it should be enjoyed. Not that we need to as our heart says, we need to do it on the track that has been given to us. Well, you know what is it right?
Since today, is the last day of Ramadhan, and one day before Eidul Fitr, people are busy preparing for the amazing feast for tomorrow. Lemang, ketupat, rendang, sambal, cookies, and all of those stuff that sometimes we managed to get on Hari Raya. yes. sometimes a for some dishes.
Hari Raya is the winning day for all the Muslims. Muslims would be wearing new clothes for the first day of Hari Raya and it is a sunnah to wear new clothes but make sure that its go too over the top okay? During first day of Raya, in my village, we would go to graveyard to actually, bertahlil there and pray for their safety. It is something that has been practiced ever since, since I was born and since I can remember. On top of that, after bertahlil and so on, the children will get a few ringgit from those who want to bersedekah. Yes, during my childhood time, I managed to get a lot of money. Alhamdulillah and now, the tradition has been successfully passed to the new generations. Our cousins, nephews and nieces. Now, they would have the chance to get the money during hari Raya.
If I want to tell you about the experience during Hari Raya from my perspective, it would be a very long entry. No one would care to read it right? During those amazing days, we would walked around the village and went from house to house just want the duit raya, eat the cookies and getting to know the orang kampung. But now, we do not walked because we have motorcycles, and we want to get to home as soon as possible because we want to watch the television. Television nowadays has taken the ability to imagine by kids. Yes, with all the programme on television, no one cares to go to houses around the village and getting to know each other. But, my raya resolution, the same as last raya, I want to visit as many houses as I can. Yup, just go to their house and get to know the orang kampung. That is better I guess. *iyalah kan, nanti nak jadi artis. hahahha.. berangan!
When we talk about cookies during Hari Raya, there are lots of amazing cookies bought, made by people. Most favourite, kerepek pisang. I love kerepek pisang actually, I could eat a jar of that with single chew. *kidding! But, seriously, there are a lot of cookies made or bought by people. Let me list down all the amazing cookies that personally know, Almond London, Honey Cornflakes, Suji, Arab Cookies, Bahulu, and soooo many others. Sometimes, we found ourselves in big trouble for not be able to choose the cookies that we want to eat, right? * according to experience.
Well, whatever it is, Hari Raya is Hari Raya. Hari Raya in Malaysia, surely not the same with the one in Japan, Korea, China, US, UK or elsewhere. Hari Raya in Malaysia surely the best Hari Raya ever celebrated right? Ask every Malaysians, they would say the same. I love Malaysia, and thank you for the peace that we have now. Do not ruin it! Thank you.
p/s: I wrote lots of things!
